New Beginnings: What’s In Store?

Hello, and welcome to the official Robert F Nugent website, your home for all the news regarding my books and the center of all-things-Aerothos!

Aerothos has always been my passion. Ever since I first doodled the landscape, sitting at my desk in high school chemistry, I knew there was something special about this world I had created. At the time, I had no idea my thoughts would revolve around this landmass for years to come, and that by now I would have three published novels telling Aerothos’ stories. I can recall how it felt in December 2015 to have readied the finished manuscript of The Fallen Banner for publishing and thinking to myself as I clicked the last button on Amazon’s KDP, “Wow. I did it. After all these years, Aerothos is finally real.”

Fast forward to now. I published two more stories, both from my side-series, the Tales of Aerothos. I have a growing community of fellow writers and supporters, I’ve made more sales than I ever thought I could have (seriously, I thought no one would ever read this stuff), and I’m nowhere near out of plans for the future.

We’re here on this blog, the new homefront of my work and everything Aerothos. If any time is appropriate to reveal what’s next, it’s now! So, what’s in store?

TWO new Aerothos books. Right now, I’m simultaneously working on two entries to the world of Aerothos. The first of these to be released will be a standalone novel which occurs during The Fallen Banner and follows the perspective of the Marcher siblings’ cousin, Sir Cormag Hart. With Cormag, we will see events of TFB through his eyes (and of course, many new events which were not experienced by Caim or Leila), and learn a wealth of information which further explains how the war in Rhodrien plays out. The end of Cormag’s story will align with the end of TFB and lead us into the next work… The Sundered Shield: Part II of the Chronicles of Aerothos.

and…

An Aerothos short film. Yeah, you read that correctly. Just about everything is in line for this to take off, except at the moment, we’re still deciding on a location and need a couple more props. This short film will be an adaptation of the opening chapter of Tales of Aerothos: Kingsblade and if it’s received well-enough, who knows if more will be in store! I’m quickly learning I have no idea how long it takes to produce a film (… there’s a lot going on with this), but it will certainly be a 2019 release.

There’s a lot in store for Aerothos. I hope you’ll sharpen your blade, saddle your horse, and join me on the adventures that lie ahead!

  1. One: your website looks awesome and I’m super stoked about not only that, but the fact that we are getting MORE BOOKS and a film!?! *dies* I’m super excited for you and can’t wait to see all that is in store for you!

  2. Hi, I saw this website shared on a friend’s Facebook, and I have to say, I’m really interested in this world you’ve made just from the preview paragraphs. I’ve always been a fan of medieval fantasy! I haven’t the time or money to read the series right now, but I definitely want to be kept informed about future books/short films! I’m assuming commenting and adding an email will help me stay in the loop? Thanks, and good luck to you!

    1. Hey, Tyler! As of the moment, I don’t have a mailing list of any sort. But with this website taking off, I think that will naturally happen over the course of the next couple of weeks once I have time to sort it out. When it happens, there will be a blog post talking about it, for sure.

I’m glad to have caught your interest! In the meantime, feel free to go over to the Contact tab and pick a social media of your choice to stay in the loop, unless you’d prefer to check here periodically. I’ll be updating ye’ olde professional Facebook once the mailing list is arranged, but for the quickest updates, I’m active every day on my Twitter (and if you ever want to chat, feel free to tweet me over there!)

      Thanks!

  3. Aerothos is real. I am excited to see the journeys you take your characters through your world. I feel privileged to get to see it grow from the beginning.
